It’s been three years since we have heard anything from The Klaxons. This past week, they’ve given us a taste of their upcoming second album, “Surfing The Void,” by releasing the track “Flashover.” I’m not too sure if I like it, but have a listen and decide for yourself.
Check out Mickey Moon’s (aka Mike Silver) tripped out remix of Tame Impala’s “Solitude is Bliss” .
British quintet, Foals, have just released their film clip for “Miami,” the third single off their latest album, Total Life Forever. This video is definitely different from their previous two (for Spanish Sahara and This Orient), which focused on nature scenes. Watch the video and you will know what I mean. If oiled up beefcakes are your thing, then you will really enjoy this clip.
Just out today: a brand new Kanye West song. It’s called “Power” and is allegedly the first single from his upcoming album, Good Ass Job (though there has been no confirmation on this yet). Good to have you back, Kanye.
Its no secret that I adore Best Coast. I simply cannot get enough of their dreamy, low-fi fuzz pop goodness. The band has been steadily cranking out EPs and singles for the past couple months, and they just announced that they will FINALLY be releasing their debut album this summer. It will be titled “Crazy for You” and will be released July 27 via Mexican Summer. Frontwoman Cosentino said on her twitter that, “”We are stoookkkedddd!!!!!!!” So am I, Best Coast, so am I!
I’m a bit late in posting this gorgeous film clip, but hey- better late then never, right?! I enjoy all of Yours Truly‘ videos, and this one featuring Camera Obscura is no exception. Watch the Glasgow indie-pop group play an acoustic and trumpet backed rendition of “Forests and Sands” by the shore of the Pacific Ocean, in the video above. Enjoy.
Check out the new music video for “Holiday,” the third single from Vampire Weekend‘s awesome album, Contra. It is tons of fun! In it, the boys dress up in their best Versailles attire, lounge around in swimming pools and beaches in Laguna Beach, eat expensive-looking desserts, and beat the crap out of surfers, for no apparent reason. So bad-ass, Vampire Weekend. LOVE IT.
