No Way?! A DJ called My Sick Uncle has mashed-up Lil Wayne’s tracks with the entire soundtrack for (500) Days of Summer. This is ridiculously clever and entertaining, and I commend My Sick Uncle for undertaking this ambitious project!!
On his website, My Sick Uncle, “Apologises to Morrissey and Simon & Garfunkel for fucking with your songs.” You can see just exactly how he effed with them by downloading the whole mash-up album (500) Days Of Weezy here.
Here are my favourite tracks:
You really can’t get much more sun blissed than Beat Connection’s “In the Water.” It is a positively tropical track, full of shimmery electro pop perfection. Beat Connection is comprised of Seattle guys Jordan Koplowitz and Reed Juenger, who just released their EP, Surf Noir, for free on bandcamp. Click here to grab yourselves a copy! Enjoy!
Best Coast\’s debut album, “Crazy for You” is now officially out. If you don’t already have a copy, shame on you! “Crazy For You” is a gorgeous album full of lovely little scuzzy pop gems. Its winning melodies, vivid choruses, and memorable hooks & lyrics are bound to make your heart hiccup. Check out one of my favourite tracks, “Girlfriend,” below.
Do yourselves a favour and check out “Trap of Mirrors,” the first single off of The Pass‘s debut album, BURST. It’s a great pop track and is catchy as hell. Lucky for us, the band is giving away the mp3 for free: to download, click here. Enjoy!
Many apologies for my complete lack of posts the past couple weeks. As you all know, I’m in Saigon for a month-long internship, and it’ been hard to find the time to keep Passionate Sounds updated every day. This will probably be my last post for the next couple of weeks, since I start backpacking my way up to North Vietnam next week. Hope this amazing track by Brooklyn duo The Hundred In The Hands will keep you going until then! Cheers.
